Our beautiful Nikki passed away at 5:40 pm Sunday evening. One is never prepared for the finality of losing someone you care so deeply for.

My heart goes out to you all.
Nikki is now pain free and is an Angel among us. She is with our Heavenly Father now and is in a much better place.
Your love and dedication to her is a testament to the life Nikki lived - one full of life and happiness - that touched every person she encountered.
She started out as my teacher, became my boss, and will always be my very good friend.
Please let me know what I can do to help you all.
I also would like to commemorate Nikki's life in a novel - to remember the shining light that was Nikki. Someone who always made me smile and laugh, and someone who was always my rock when the waters were rough.

I can't imagine how hard it has been to keep updating all of us like this, through these past few days, but my love and thanks are with you.
My life was made infinitely better by her presence and her influence, and I can only hope to honor her life by trying to have as positive and as lasting an impact on the people around me. I consider myself fortunate to have grown up under her gaze, as a swim lesson student, coworker, concert-buddy and friend.

Just wanted to say that I'm very sorry for your loss I know how hard it is losing someone so close to you I recently lost my grandfather to cancer and it was one of the hardest things that I had to go through but what kept me going through the day was the fact that he was in a better place and pain free. Also just remember that she will always be by your side. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Nikki is in a much better place now. And she was such a good person, I have no doubt she is bumped to the front of the line.
The world is a sadder place today without Nikki. But Nikki's zest for life, her smile and wonderful sense of humor, and above all, her courage, will live on in all of us that loved her.
Heaven just got a great soccer player.

Words are so inadequate. You are in my constant prayer, and prayer is so comforting. It is where we put ourselves in the presence of the Almighty. Now we are comforted knowing that Nikki is in the presence of the Almighty! It really is what we "live" for. Nikki is smiling down at all of us now in all her glory. I'm so sorry I cant be there with you all. I hope you all know and I know that Nikki now knows how much she really did mean to me. She was a HUGE influence in my life and the many things that I have learned from her, will keep her memorie alive. I have missed her by me just being so far away, but knowing that I can no longer see her when I come to San Jose is very hard to deal with. But knowing that now, I can visit and talk to her when ever I want, helps make this time a little more easier to accept. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Nikki, you will forever be loved and missed.

I worked with Nikki for several years. I loved working with her. She was real. I loved her energy. I always left her smiling. That's how I'll remember her; looking to the next thing, smiling.
