Today was a difficult day as Nikki continues to decline quickly. She is taking a lot of pain medication to stay comfortable. Nikki would like to take less pain medication so she can be more alert to talk and aware of what is going on around her but is unable to. The medications make it easier to rest and after taking medication she can sleep.
Brian reads Bible versus to Nikki throughout the day and takes such good care of her. It is so amazing to see the love Brian has for her. Nikki couldn't have a better husband and care giver.
Nikki will come home Wednesday afternoon. An ambulance will bring her home so she is comfortable and in the best care. Nikki will be grateful to be home again.
Brian has requested that only family and close friends visit and again please make sure you call first. With the little time Nikki has we want to make sure she and Brian as well as family have alone time with her.
We appreciate all the wonderful comments and prayers for Nikki, Brian and family.

Hi Nikkers and Brian,
Gee Honey, I wish I could take some of your pain away and try to make you more comfortable. We are certainly praying for you both. Our church also has you on our prayer chain. Our Lord knows all about you and about your strong fight as well as your strong faith. We love you both.

Hi Ms. Nikkie
Our prayers and toughts are with you! It was so lovely to see you, even if it was a brief moment, you look so beautiful. We care and love you both.....
Hi Nikki,
Kim did a special prayer for you in Cambodian & then the kids and I held another for you in English . . in the almost 11 years that I've known you, I always considered you a friend & not just a co-worker . . and though I've never met your husband, I can see God made a great choice for you . . You're in our thoughts & we'll keep praying for you, ok?
With Love,
The Heinrich Family

Hello, I'm Stephanie Silcott's dad. She has been telling us about Nikki. So although we've never met, I feel like I know her a little. We went through this with my mom a few years ago and it's so gut-wrenching for everyone. I just want to say my thoughts are with you all and that in time the grief lessens and you start remembering the good times again.
Take care,
Bob Silcott
Hi Nikki,
I'm thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers. You're such a strong and courageous person.
Warmly,
Amber

Nik & Brian -
Your strength & positive attitude is so inspiring. The grace you've had through-out this tremendously difficult journey says so much about the amazing individuals you both are. Miracles happen and if anyone deserves it it's you. Know that I think of you, I laugh thinking of our funny odd conversations on the 1st floor and while getting ready for the wedding : ) The amount of people you've touched is ever-growing. With warmth and comfort - Stephanie Silcott

Hi Nikki,
You have been wearing the armor of the lord for a very long time now. You are so blessed. May the blood of Christ cover you in your journey. Be still and listen to his word. I know that he has great things in store for you.
"Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name."
Psalm 100:4 (NIV)

Dear Nikki and Family,
I am but a mere acquaintance of Nikki's. But through the years I have seen the strength of this angel here on earth. Nikki has always had a smile that would light up a room. I praise the Lord that you have Him in your hearts and life. Only He can carry our burdens here on earth and we take rest in His arms.
I pray for peace among you all.
I wanted to post some powerful song lyrics from a favorite Christian band of mine that has helped me through some difficult times. The band is Casting Crowns and listing to this song in person is much more powerful but I hope you find some comfort in these words.
Praise You in this Storm
I was sure by now
God You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
And I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
And every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm
I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry to you
And you raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You
But as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth
Nikki and Family, you have been on my prayer list for a long time and I have groups of people praying for you at church. May the Lord bring peace and rest to your hearts and family.
Much Love,
Your Sister in Christ

I'm so glad I was able to meet you at your wedding to better understand and see for my self why you are such a special person. Your inner strength and beauty has served you well. No matter what the cancer was doing to your body it never was able to get to your spirit. That is a win for you.
Brian
I am so proud of you in your dedication to Nikki in all the ways you have supported and aided her in this battle for life. It says a lot about you and the depth of love you two share.
Love you both and are in my thoughts and prayers.
Bonnie, Jerry sends his love too.
